One of the event’s highlights is the prestigious International Pizza Challenge, where talented pizzaiolos from around the globe compete in various categories, showcasing their skills and creativity. The Pizza Expo in Las Vegas is an unmissable opportunity for networking, learning, and indulging in the art and business of pizza, promising an unforgettable experience for all who attend.
The “plus” was exercise.
The International Pizzas Expo was held in the new West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center. The West Hall is huge. I walked and walked and finally was given a badge for the show. More walking and I found the show entrance and later, after the show, still more exercise (in the rain) I found my car for the return home.
And the show? I loved it. The Pizza Today folks had produced a large convention brochure with lots of lovely ads amid the show information. I met very nice people and I learned a lot. I was also hungry after all that exercise and did taste a few of the delicious samples that were on display.
As for the 11,000 other folks who attended the show, they visited more than 500 exhibitors and attended more than 64 educational offerings with titles such as “Understanding Cheese Prices,”
“Dough Stretching and Slapping Techniques,” and “Pizza History: How Did we Get here.”
The show is organized by Emerald Expositions and is called the largest pizza show in the world. I saw a number of the exhibits at the expo and they are highlighted in the video below.
