Philipp Plein celebrated the opening of his newest Las Vegas store at the Shops at Crystals with a VIP opening party on August 31st. Academy Award winning Nicolas Cage co-hosted the event. Glass, chrome and white marble were the perfect backdrop to Plein’s incredible fashion collection of ready-to-wear handbags, shoes, eyewear, and time pieces.

“I chose the shops at Crystals because when people go to resorts, they may be there just to gamble, but if someone goes to the shops at Crystals, they are there to shop!” Phillip Plein said. When Nicolas Cage discovered Philipp Plein’s fashion in Las Vegas he was wowed by the collection, saying, “I’m in a wonder world of art!” Both Plein and Cage said they love the unique energy of Las Vegas, adding that the best shows, restaurants, and shopping are here.

Plein’s complete ready-to-wear collections, Modern Renaissance and Thousand-and One-Nights were on display. Modern Renaissance combines the charm of Renaissance designs with the elegance of minimalism. The Women’s Autumn 2023 collection includes long and short dresses along with refined blazers and trousers. Thousand and One Nights combines the romance of the Middle East with Western fashion style. One outstanding pattern in Plein’s designs is the paisley motif. The original Persian motif in the shape of a teardrop looks like a spray of flowers combined with a cypress tree. Used throughout history by painters, architects, and designers, the paisley motif gets a whole new life through Plein’s modern and original reinterpretation.

Many in attendance at Thursday’s event were wearing Phillip Plein. His collection is indeed art–beautiful, wearable art! Philipp Plein’s newest Las Vegas boutique is art, too, a glass, chrome, and marble oasis in the middle of the Crystals mall.
